Often you have an unknown or broken solder component of which you want to know what the value or connection is.
It is e.g. a transistor, a particular FET, a triac, SCR,. What is the value of a resistor, capacitor, inductor, diode, etc.
IT’S ALL POSSIBLE WITH THE ID10
The components tester ID10 is for the identification of a variety of types of components such as resistors, capacitors (incl. ESR measurement!), Coils, diodes, transistors, (moss) FETs, thyristors, triacs, SCRs, etc. It is possible to an unknown without any further adjustment testing component type and value. The tester will show equal what it is, what value and how it is connected.
If you eg. A transistor connects to the tester on the display will show whether an NPN or PNP transistor and also show the gain.
When the tester e.g. measuring a J310, the display will show that it is an N-FET and also what the drain, source and gate connections are.
Tester also measures the diodes, resistors, capacitors, inductors, and represents the resp. values accurately.
When diodes and LEDs, the display to what the cathode and anode, and the voltage drop, in the capacitance diode as the additional capacity, or an up to 5-volt zener diodes also the zenerwaarde.
Last but not least, the ID10 ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) value determination of electrolytic capacitors between 1 and 100,000 uF.
ESR measurements are interesting; With outdated and possibly faulty capacitors, a high ESR of a capacitor is often the problem with no (longer) working power supplies. It says here about a lot of interesting information on the Internet.
